2. Obtaining a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) from the IRS
3. Setting up state tax accounts, including employee withholding, unemployment tax and state sales and use tax
4. Obtaining information on professional, occupational and specialty licenses
5. Getting contact information for local business licensing and zoning.
6. Register for an eVA account (the state’s electronic procurement system)
7. Be certified as a small, woman-owned and/or minority-owned business (SWAM)
